Heat Staking and Hot Air Cold Stake machines are built to connect either similar or dissimilar materials and components together that do not lend themselves to molecular bonding or welding. Parts are clamped together and joined by reforming a plastic stake or boss that protrudes from one component through an adjoining hole in the other component. The bosses or stakes are soften with a heated anvil or focused hot air and reformed into a rivet style head either joining or compressing multiple component layers together.
Accuworx has a strong background in plastic production processes across a diverse variety of industries. If you know what you need, but are not sure how to implement it, we can bring our experience and innovative concepts to the table and develop a process to meet your plastic joining requirements.
